Well known for being the home of Expo 86 and the center of the Molson Indy Vancouver. The Indy Vancouver was the annual Champ Car race on the streets of Vancouver from 1990 till 2004 when the last race was held. Next door to BC Place is GM Place (General Motors Place), home of the Vancouver Canucks hockey team. Not verry far from both stadiums is Canada Place Convention Center which doubles as a cruise ship port for major cruise lines like Holland America Line and Carnival Cruise Lines to name a few.

BC Place Stadium is also the home for the Vancouver International Boat Show, BC Home and Garden Show, BC Lions football team and the Pacific International Autoshow.

 

 

The 2010 Olympic Games were held in Vancouver and Whistler which attracted a lot of visitors to Vancouver's local attractions like Stanley Park, Capilano suspension bridge, Grouse Mountain, Gastown, Granville island, Sun Yat Set Gardens and the Vancouver Aquarium.

Then there is wreck beach near the UBC (University of British Columbia) campus, which is a clothing optional area (nude beach).

About a hours drive east of Vancouver is the city of Abbotsford, home of the yearly Abbotford International Airshow.
